MISSION STATEMENT
Here comes The Remix is an innovative workshop designed to promote research, writing and public speaking proficiency, computer literacy, along with encouraging teamwork and open-dialogue.

VISION STATEMENT
Here Comes The Remix Co-Founders Ferentz Lafargue and Felicia Pride accomplish the workshop’s goals by using many of the same methods employed while writing their respective books, Songs in the Key of My Life and The Message. Beginning with each participant’s reflections on what songs have been key to their lives, Lafargue and Pride usher participants through the process of taking these memories and mantras and crafting them into well-written anecdotes, video-diary entries, or scripts for podcasts, and other presentations.

HCTR workshops are designed to serve students and adult-age community members through a variety of partnerships with local public libraries. Colleges, corporations and social and professional organizations can also request workshops for their constituents.

By using music as a tool of engagement, HCTR workshops help participants improve their research, writing and presentation skills.  Once honed, these skills can help individuals and organizations with interests in youth development, civic participation and web 2.0 community building and mobilization.
